"Education for Education Philippines":
With Schools Division Superintendent, Reynante Caliguiran, PhD, CESO along with the Division Leaders.
CAGAYAN VALLEY, Philippines — A new partnership between the Department of Education Region II (DepEd) and ISA Australia is opening doors of opportunity for academically gifted but financially disadvantaged students in rural communities.
The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), commits both parties to a shared mission: ensuring that deserving students can continue their studies despite economic hardship. ISA Australia will provide scholarships, mentorship, and resources, while DepEd Region II will identify beneficiaries, monitor their progress, and ensure accountability.
“Our collaboration with ISA Australia symbolises a commitment to nurturing the dreams of our students. With this joint endeavor, we aim to mold a brighter future for our youth, ensuring they aren’t held back by circumstances beyond their control,” said Dr. Reynante Caliguiran, PhD, CESO IV, Schools Division Superintendent, DepEd Region II.
ISA Australia’s founder, Dona Taguinod Leach, noted that the partnership reflects the power of collective action.
“This partnership embodies the essence of people coming together for a common cause. By working closely with the Department of Education, we can ensure that our support creates tangible, lasting impact for students and their families.”
Since its establishment, the ISA Scholarship Program has supported 35 scholars, with more to come under this new partnership. Both organisations view the MoA not only as a lifeline for students but as a model for future collaborations, showing how government and non-profits can work hand in hand to transform lives.
